Pete is from our Fruit Litter (Courage x Scully) born July 26, 2021. He is owned by Mel Lacey and myself and lives with Mel and his Uncle Winston. We have high hopes for Pete!

Pete finished his Canadian Championship in July 2022 by going Group 1 from the Senior Puppy Class! He is currently training in rally obedience, agility, tracking and is a therapy dog with Pet Partners.

Pete earned his first two Rally Novice legs in December 2023 and earned his Rally Novice title in March 2024, also picking up his first Advanced leg as well.

Mel and Pete had quite the year in 2024! They started the year with hopes of finishing his Grand Championship, but by the end of the year he not only obtained that but his Grand Champion Bronze, Silver and Excellent titles as well!  Pete finished the year as the #3 Golden Retriever in Canada, #1 Owner-Handled Golden Retriever in Canada. He won a Best in Show, 4 Reserve Best in Shows and 33 Group Placements. This also earned Pete his Show Dog Hall of Fame from the GRCC. Mel and Pete also finished his Rally Novice title and Novice Trick Dog Title this past year as well. I am very proud of this team!
